Year Over Year

The year-over-year view compares your figures against the same point a year earlier. It holds the window constant, which is what makes seasonal costs comparable instead of looking like changes in behaviour.

Four figures are captured and compared:

Income
Total household income, which is where a raise or a new source shows up.
Net Worth
Assets less liabilities at each point.
Debt
Total liabilities, and the direction they moved.
Assets
Everything owned, including investments and savings.

Each carries both the absolute change in dollars and the percentage change, since a large percentage on a small base and a small percentage on a large one are easy to confuse.

Every one of these explains a number in the app

Promi computes them from your own balances and transactions, with the guide one click from the figure.
